Update 52: Week of 17 Feb
Writing about gods, dragons, space mermaids, AIs, and more with queer characters and some art on the side.
Manic mode activated!!
I have been doing pretty much everything except writing recently (I have been, but not as much as I could have), but one of the things I’m super proud of is that I’ve started to organize my content creation a bit better.
For those of you that don’t know, I am most active here (updates every-other-week), TikTok (ha, funny), and I am on discord roughly 12hrs a day. But, I also have Ko-Fi, Twitch, my design website, and a bunch of other accounts here and there. So, this week, I spent some time talking to DeepSeek to figure out how I can better organize all of my platforms and streamline content creation. Especially since I’ve decided that yes - I am going to serialize 3V3.
We’ll see on that, but for now I’m happy to say that the organization bug is back!
Writing update
It took a hot minute, but I’m finally back into editing Evelyn. I did two live writing sessions on Wednesdays and plan on continuing with those streams, whether they are writing or design. So far, my Twitch looks like crap, but I’ve had too much work to make it look pretty. Maybe that will be a future stream? 🤣
But anyway, I was able to get almost 6k words down (friendly reminder, this was planned to be a short story under 10k, those 6k are only 2 out of 10 scenes/chapters 😅)
ANYWAY!!! If you want a silent writing buddy, I am going on at 10am on Wednesdays (I say an hour but writing has so far gone up to 1.5hrs.)
If you’re interested in joining me, here is my channel!
On another note: I am planning on putting Last Sunrise up for sale in various retailers, along with moving The Star Catcher back to wide and raising its price. Basically, if you haven’t gotten your copy of Last Sunrise yet, make sure to do so before it goes up for sale!
Art update
Currently working on some epic art for a custom typeset for BD Carpenter. I have their permission to share the work done on streams, but here’s a sneak peek at what I’ve been doing 😉

The Wind Walker by Simon Shugar
Zephyr has spent his life shackled in the depths of the city’s brutal mines, where only the strongest endure. As a Breaker Boy, he's little more than a cog in Crater's corrupt machine, but he dreams of a life aboveground, where he can soar across the skies instead of choking on coal dust. Yet in Crater, dreaming is a dangerous game—and it’s about to get lethal.
If you’d like your book or favourite read shown here, drop off their names and links in the comments! If it seems like something up my alley, I’ll share it in the next newsletter :)
Sneak peek
Evelyn
“Percipio, do you ever think about leaving?”
“I can’t.”
“Can’t think or can’t leave?” Evelyn prompted.
“I… uh… why would you want to leave?”
“I asked you, not me. Unless you want me to come with you.” Evelyn grinned wide.
“Why would anyone want to leave? We don’t know for sure about anything outside the city walls.”
“I don’t know about anyone, but I just… maybe I’d want to go somewhere where I’m not just a tool, waiting for something to happen. That would be my reasoning. I’d want to go somewhere where my voice matters and I can make a choice.”
“You will always have a choice,” Percipio’s voice softened, almost tender.
It was a nice lie. Her choosing between which ticket to work on wasn’t a choice. Especially since her choice was to apply. The final decision still lay with someone else.
“And you? Why would you want to leave?” Evelyn asked.
“I don’t.”
“Finish that research I told you earlier and then remind me I asked you this question tomorrow. We will revisit it and see if you are still so firm in your answer.”
Percipio was silent. Evelyn finished her code. She shut down her station and leaned forward on her desk, smiling at the little sphere and its green light.
“I’m going to bed now,” Evelyn informed it.
“Good night, Evelyn,” Percipio said, tone soft, and the light turned off completely.
